Janaine waits for 16 years to be able to have a child, she has so much love to give and hopes that her desire to be a mother will become reality either way, adopting or by her own womb because motherhood is in her heart.
I have been married for 16 years, but we have been “dating” for 22 years. In these 16 years of marriage, I took AC only in the 1st year and never again. Since then, we started our search for motherhood. We went to several doctors and human reproduction clinics and we have already carried out various treatments, surgeries and methods to achieve the long-awaited pregnancy . In the beginning, doctors always said: “Infertility Without Apparent Cause”. Over the years and we were looking for a way to be “parents” we decided to adopt. There were 3 frustrating attempts… I will summarize for you:
1st adoption attempt:
After 3 years of marriage, I worked at the Social Assistance Secretariat of my municipality and an opportunity arose for the adoption of a 1 month old girl, in which she was mistreated by her mother…. The girl was beautiful (we took care of it, took it to the doctor, bought medicines, clothes, etc.)… passionate…. I missed 2 weeks in college… just involved with this girl… .. but, after a long walk, the judge from a neighboring town decided to adopt her himself, without even being on the waiting list.
2nd adoption attempt:
Time passed… + or – a year…. A 02-year-old girl appeared at the church I attended. beautiful… sweet… captivating. The mother had abandoned and the aunt who was taking care of…. It was another suffering, because she went to my house, played, filled us with affection and soon left…. But in the end, when we were going to do the documentation, the family gave up on putting it up for adoption.
3rd and Last Adoption Attempt:
Now it was the turn of a linndddooo boy… 3 years old…. in which he was mistreated by his grandfather. He did not walk, did not speak and had a congenital disease…. Even so… my husband and I wanted to be with him… but I didn’t get involved much, because he spent most of his time in hospital and unfortunately ended up dying.
After these attempts, we decided to return to the fertilization treatment. And we left for In Vitro Fertilization – FIV . With many difficulties, we started the first IVF attempt, after several tests and medications… we transferred 2 embryos… But, unfortunately, there was no implantation. In the same year, we went to TEC – Frozen Embryo Transfer … and transferred 3 embryos … The result was another frustrating negative. Then a battery of tests was performed in which we discovered some problems that were not previously detected: Thrombophilia in 2 chromosomes / SAAF- Anti-Phospholipid Antibody Syndrome – autoimmune disease / Hypothyroidism and an Endometriosis never seen before. After that we have a direction, which medication to use and how to treat these diseases.
Last year I got my 1st pregnancy in 15 years of marriage… Hallelujah !!! But … it only lasted a few weeks and the baby stopped developing. It was very sad, but today … I can understand that the Lord has a plan for our lives and I believe in a God of the impossible. I am still waiting for my miracle, believing that the promises He has in my families will be fulfilled.

Since I imagined myself as a mother, in my thoughts everything seemed to be much easier and simpler than it really was, I expected to get pregnant as soon as I wished, but it wasn’t that simple. The first pregnancy was smooth, but my daughter’s birth was very troubled. Joana was born in 2002 with a weight of 2930kg and 45cm, from a very peaceful cesarean delivery but she had already been born with congenital pneumonia due to a broken bag not treated with antibiotics even before delivery.
