Teen Pregnancy and the Difficulties I Went Through – Monica

Index

Monica got pregnant early and despite all the obstacles and even a loss, she managed to win. See her story:

Well, when I had my first child I was 17 years old, I was a teenager and I got pregnant . Few people know about this teenage pregnancy , I was young and without any judgment so I ended up getting pregnant. At the time it was very difficult, my parents did not accept the pregnancy at all, my mother did not accept it because I was young and did not finish my studies and my father did not accept it for the same reason. I was very nervous during this pregnancy and I had complications. Unfortunately I ended up losing the baby.

When I turned 18 I got pregnant again from my husband so we decided to get married, it was a very peaceful pregnancy and I was not very sick. He was doing very well and slept most of the time. My daughter was born super strong healthy and was a very calm baby who hardly cried, unlike the little girl I had as soon as I turned 22. When I turned 22 I became pregnant with my daughter Ana Carolina and already in that pregnancy, I felt very bad. I didn’t have a normal birth because I was at risk and during my second daughter’s pregnancy I took several scares as she grew up.

My first scare with Ana Carolina was when I was breastfed and she gasped, it was a huge scare she got all purple and I couldn’t breathe at all. My husband had to pick her up and practically toss her up so she could breathe again. We did a lot of things and we couldn’t get her to come back, until we finally did and in thinking that this was just our first scare. The second scare lasted much longer than a few seconds of despair. Well, Ana Carolina as soon as she was two years old had what we thought was a cold, we took her to the hospital.

She walked in and talked to the hospital, but after two days of hospitalization she got worse and when we found out she had an oxygen tube, that is, breathing with the help of devices. The doctors couldn’t explain why she got worse that way, she just made it worse so her father decided to transfer her to another hospital and it was the biggest confusion. The doctors did not want to allow it, but he said that the daughter was his and that he would remove our daughter from that hospital. Finally we managed to make the transfer and when we arrived at the São Paulo hospital, the doctors told us that she could only get worse that way because of the drugs that the first hospital was giving her. Once there, my daughter got better and was discharged after a few days.

My third scare took a little longer to happen. Ana Carolina was a baby who cried a lot and she was very nervous and spent a lot of time crying. We did everything and it was no use, so when she turned six, we found out why she cried so much. She had a very severe pain crisis in her body she screamed and rolled in bed I remember it was good on New Year’s Day, so we decided to take her to the emergency room, but as we were on the beach as soon as we got there they transferred us to the Pedreira hospital in São Paulo, where doctors discovered that she had and still has a health problem called sickle cell anemia .

Well this scare was huge and it got worse when the doctor told me that this health problem involved serious risks and that there were cases of children who died because of him, and said that he was not like the common anemias that you can eat enough vitamin and iron , have a healthy diet that improves you. It scared me even more when I said that there was no cure, just treatment so as not to get worse. It was very difficult because she couldn’t do what the other kids did, they couldn’t play catch, catch hiding, and when we went to the beach I couldn’t play in the water because I couldn’t catch cold. She couldn’t sweat, if she got tired because all of this makes anemia attacks, but even without doing all that, she lived in the hospital and had several crises throughout the year and from time to time she still has it.

But she grew up today, she is 18 years old, she still has this health problem, without a doubt she cannot do the same things as friends, like sports, going out at night for a party, dancing and so on. But she says that she is used to it and leads her normal life, works, studies and goes out with friends to places she can do without exceeding her limits. Her friends understand the situation and the seriousness of her problem, so they end up not letting her do anything that could harm her but her health.

After six years of having Ana Carolina I got pregnant by my youngest son Rodrigo, because we had a huge desire to have a boy and when we decided to try it for the last time, he was born. It was also a very peaceful pregnancy, I was not sick, but I got what I call my husband’s disgust while I was pregnant with Rodrigo. Everything from Wagner made my voice nauseous, it irritated me the way he did, the perfume, and everything and that only ended after Rodrigo he was born. And for those who think that pregnant’s desire is freshness, my son and I are real living proof that it is not because when I got pregnant with Rodrigo I had a huge desire to eat Jaca, but I couldn’t eat so he was born with a spot on his forehead that looks like very much like a jackfruit, it’s identical.

Well my son Rodrigo and his sister, but old Ana Paula are totally healthy. Only my daughter Ana Carolina, who was born with this annoying health problem, but she is very excited and hardworking, does not allow these problems to interfere with her life. Rodrigo plays ball, studies, goes out with his friends and rarely has a cold just like my oldest daughter. I think I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Monica and this is a little bit of my story as a mother.

My name is Dr. Alexis Hart I am 38 years old, I am the mother of 3 beautiful children! Different ages, different phases 16 years, 12 years and 7 years. In love with motherhood since always, I found it difficult to make my dreams come true, and also some more after I was already a mother.

Since I imagined myself as a mother, in my thoughts everything seemed to be much easier and simpler than it really was, I expected to get pregnant as soon as I wished, but it wasn’t that simple. The first pregnancy was smooth, but my daughter’s birth was very troubled. Joana was born in 2002 with a weight of 2930kg and 45cm, from a very peaceful cesarean delivery but she had already been born with congenital pneumonia due to a broken bag not treated with antibiotics even before delivery.
