Me, Dudu and Bronchitis

Index

I really would not like to have to report this experience, but do what ?? My middle son has had frequent bouts of bronchitis, he sizzles and loudly! And my heart is very small to see him suffer that way, he is very soft complaining of shortness of breath.

He was always allergic, he also has large adenoids (a sign of allergy and rhinitis) when he was a baby, a newcomer from the maternity hospital, he was already crying, like someone with a stuffy nose.

I remember that when I was 3 days old and already at home, I had to take him to the maternity ward where he was born because I thought it was strange that he was apparently already with a blocked nose. However, nowadays I know that there are treatments that can alleviate or even get rid of the problem and I went back to research about it. Come on!

What is bronchitis?

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchi and they are the ones that take air into the lungs. Bronchitis happens because the secretions stop being eliminated and start to accumulate inside the bronchi, thus causing constant inflammation.

Causes

The disease can be chronic or acute. The acute crisis is usually caused by viruses or bacteria, while the chronic one can be caused by a number of factors such as cigarette smoke, pollution or even allergies. Moldy environment is a concern for those who have chronic bronchitis, as it can lead to a severe crisis.

The microscopic villains are also the mites, they collaborate so that the bronchitis crisis can happen. A lot of coughing is always what most catches my attention and then I know it can be another crisis coming, lack of appetite, a lot of secretion coming out so much through the coughing like through the nose and finally clear, tiredness evident.

Treatment

I already looked for a pulmonologist and he told me to exterminate with curtains, rugs, stuffed animals in general , strong smells (cleaning products and the like). In addition to frequent monitoring and medication indicated.

I had heard several people saying they had bronchitis but I had never seen a crisis before, and I confess that I was scared, mainly because it was my son. Now he is treating with predisilone 3mg and inhaling with berotec. How difficult it is to see him in this situation!

My name is Dr. Alexis Hart I am 38 years old, I am the mother of 3 beautiful children! Different ages, different phases 16 years, 12 years and 7 years. In love with motherhood since always, I found it difficult to make my dreams come true, and also some more after I was already a mother.

Since I imagined myself as a mother, in my thoughts everything seemed to be much easier and simpler than it really was, I expected to get pregnant as soon as I wished, but it wasn’t that simple. The first pregnancy was smooth, but my daughter’s birth was very troubled. Joana was born in 2002 with a weight of 2930kg and 45cm, from a very peaceful cesarean delivery but she had already been born with congenital pneumonia due to a broken bag not treated with antibiotics even before delivery.
