Diapers, is there a more important item in the layette and in the daily life of mom and baby? Essential item, it comes in 2nd place in the needs of a baby, since the first is breast milk. Whenever a future mom asks me which diaper is the best, I say it’s relative. That’s because we have to analyze your need. Actually the diaper has aspects that we must take into account when buying: comfort, capacity to store the pee, price, size and some other aspects.
From my experience with disposable diapers, I see that most of the most relevant brands are concerned with comfort. Most of them have a very soft coating for the baby to be well protected and at the same time not to irritate sensitive skin. The efficiency aspect gives greater credibility to some diapers of the most important brands, as these have a more powerful gel than others and this makes the baby dry for longer. Diapers dedicated for night fulfill this role very well as they seem to have more gel than other diapers dedicated for daytime use.
What Other Points to Consider When Choosing a Diaper?
The cost benefit is also another point that I consider very important at the time of purchase, since the diaper stock must be replenished monthly or weekly, and in some families this diaper stock is for more than one baby! Be twins , or brothers with little age difference. On these occasions, the diaper ends up becoming the priority in the budget of some moms and dads. We know that diaper prices can also weigh heavily on the family budget, but I also don’t think a second-line diaper is a good investment, because the very cheap can become expensive. Imagine a diaper that leaks at night or providing some extra changes of clothing daily due to accidents whether it be pee or poop.
So what advice do you have for a first-time mom who’s just starting out in the diaper world? Invest in a quality product that has references from friends and other moms. Get to know from the closest people the opinion about the diapers they used and also from the recent mothers, the news of the market. So you can go tester and adapt your pocket to the best diaper of your choice.

My name is Dr. Alexis Hart I am 38 years old, I am the mother of 3 beautiful children! Different ages, different phases 16 years, 12 years and 7 years. In love with motherhood since always, I found it difficult to make my dreams come true, and also some more after I was already a mother.
Since I imagined myself as a mother, in my thoughts everything seemed to be much easier and simpler than it really was, I expected to get pregnant as soon as I wished, but it wasn’t that simple. The first pregnancy was smooth, but my daughter’s birth was very troubled. Joana was born in 2002 with a weight of 2930kg and 45cm, from a very peaceful cesarean delivery but she had already been born with congenital pneumonia due to a broken bag not treated with antibiotics even before delivery.
