My experience with tubal ligation

For those who do not know my history, I will give a summary. I have 3 children and, when the youngest was born, we paid the doctor to do the sterilization, since I had a lot of problems during pregnancy. Problems related to pressure and rest to prevent eclampsia . Anyway, he suffered, and as my doctor said, I was lucky to reach 40 weeks with controlled pressure.

Carrying out the Procedure

At delivery, he did a salpingectomy, a big bad word! This means that he removed the tubes instead of tying them. Tying the tubes was the procedure previously used as a permanent contraceptive method. So, in case the woman decided to become fertile again, it was just to untie the tube to return to normal.

In the operating room, I saw the tubes in his hands and asked him to show me. But what is the reason for this text? Whenever I say I am lacquered, people tell me to be careful because they know someone who became pregnant even after sterilizing surgery. Searching, I found the answer to questions that came to my head and I confess that fear took over me for a few moments.

Can I get pregnant even lacquered?

CUT HORN

He can! It is not 100% guaranteed that the surgery will not untie or, if the tubes are cut , they can regenerate. If you have a tubal ligation too young, the surgery is at risk of going wrong. Not due to medical error, but your body can cause the tubes to partially regenerate , thus making the sperm find the egg. This is certainly not very common and it is not very easy, but there is a risk, there is!

TIE-UP TROMPA

When I chose to have the surgery, I talked a lot with my doctor, who guaranteed that this was the safest method in my case, but that in the first year it was to take some care, since the surgery was still very recent. After that time, the chance is practically null, but it exists even if remote.

And for those who are thinking that I may be playing terror in the tranquility of moms who have already had surgery, here’s a refresh: the pregnancy rate after tubal ligation occurs in 99% of cases in procedures with the tube tied, not cut. And if you are part of the risk group, it is good to think about going to the doctor to talk about your specific case.

Tubal Reversal

But, if your case is the opposite of mine and you regret having the surgery, the most important thing is to find out what type of surgery was done. In the case of cutting, the most correct procedure is in vitro fertilization , and in the case of tying, reversion is entirely possible and a procedure called laparoscopy is enough to become fertile again. To further increase the chances of conception, it is also recommended to take vitamins that will maximize your fertility. The FamiFerti , for example, is a compound multivitamin vitamins and minerals essential for the design and maintenance of pregnancy, and you can find it here in our shop .

Good luck!

My name is Dr. Alexis Hart I am 38 years old, I am the mother of 3 beautiful children! Different ages, different phases 16 years, 12 years and 7 years. In love with motherhood since always, I found it difficult to make my dreams come true, and also some more after I was already a mother.

Since I imagined myself as a mother, in my thoughts everything seemed to be much easier and simpler than it really was, I expected to get pregnant as soon as I wished, but it wasn’t that simple. The first pregnancy was smooth, but my daughter’s birth was very troubled. Joana was born in 2002 with a weight of 2930kg and 45cm, from a very peaceful cesarean delivery but she had already been born with congenital pneumonia due to a broken bag not treated with antibiotics even before delivery.
