School Trips – Do You Let Your Child Go?

Index

Ah moms how our life is difficult isn’t it? How many decisions and choices do we have to make in the course of our children’s growth? It is necessary to consider reason and heart. For us we would put the children in a glass case and protect them from all the evils and dangers in the world, wouldn’t they? But they need to grow, to know the world, to become independent! And many times the first contact with the outside world away from the mother’s bar is through school trips, but so what? Do you let your kids go?

This is a subject that divides many opinions and for those who do not let their children go to school trips there is an extensive list of dangers and reasons for not allowing. But what about the good side of the child participating in these moments? And how important are these moments in childhood and your healthier memories of school time, in addition to pedagogical learning? It really is a subject with great weight and that divides the sides of the balance, but that must and deserves to be rethought and discussed before taking the final decision. Some school trips aim to integrate children in the world of creativity, fantasy and knowledge and take their students to theaters, circus performances, museums as well as spaces fully prepared for the fun and interaction of the little ones. Others choose to whet their desire for reading, taking them to a book exhibition for example. But I believe that every school trip has its purpose and importance regardless of whether it is an amusement park or a gigantic library.

Is the interaction between the children, the joy of having their classmates having fun in a different place, besides the feeling of creating wings is indescribable, or have you forgotten this sensation? The cold in the belly counting the days to get the ride, several plans for the day, outside the imagination of how each detail will be !! Some institutions start their school trips with the smallest group of the school or known as the class of the mini nursery or even of the daycare, and believe me they are not too small to have fun and learn !! Everything is new and wonderful for them, every little detail and information shown. Walks in theme and children’s parks, zoos, theaters, small farms and amusement parks and museums for the biggest ones are the options most selected by schools and that make the children happy that count the days for the arrival of the school tour season. No matter what location the school chooses, any and all school trips have their importance and help in the learning of the little ones.

Why let go to the School Walk?

What parents need to understand is that every school trip is not just for fun, but for learning , expanding the children’s view, knowledge of new worlds beyond the clear interaction with friends. Also called by schools as a study of the environment, the tours aim to give an external class to the children, showing a new world and new information and also counting as another class of the school year that by the eyes of the children is always very profitable and pleasurable.

The school can also promote a walk aimed entirely at the leisure of its children, as it is in the case of trips to playgrounds and theme parks that the only focus is the interaction and the joy of the children. These information must be given in advance by the school together with the request for authorization of the tour and thus the parents can assess whether it is feasible and interesting for the child to participate or not. Some details about the tour are also important to ask, such as the monitoring and number of teachers and monitors who will be on the tour and how the transport will be carried out. Is the bus in perfect safety condition? Will there be enough seats to accommodate all children?

Some advice should be given to the child before the school trip, such as appropriate behavior and what not to do, especially to stay away from the class and teachers. Checking the risks of the place and alerting is also very important !! But remember, we must not pass on insecurity to the child and with a whirlwind of alerts to make the child afraid and unable to enjoy the moment. Pass security, advise and if possible talk to the teachers who will be accompanying and try to relax, after all it will be the first of many moments that he will enjoy away from you and he needs it !! You need to grow and learn !!

My name is Dr. Alexis Hart I am 38 years old, I am the mother of 3 beautiful children! Different ages, different phases 16 years, 12 years and 7 years. In love with motherhood since always, I found it difficult to make my dreams come true, and also some more after I was already a mother.

Since I imagined myself as a mother, in my thoughts everything seemed to be much easier and simpler than it really was, I expected to get pregnant as soon as I wished, but it wasn’t that simple. The first pregnancy was smooth, but my daughter’s birth was very troubled. Joana was born in 2002 with a weight of 2930kg and 45cm, from a very peaceful cesarean delivery but she had already been born with congenital pneumonia due to a broken bag not treated with antibiotics even before delivery.
