Fernanda de Luca, wife, wife, mother and professional! She is already known to the general public for presenting several programs at Record, women in focus, participation in Today and many more! I welcome you Fernanda with great joy and I am very happy to know a little more about you and your family! This mommy who comes to tell a little more about the family side and how to reconcile everything and handle it with a lot of love and affection!
Come on!
Changing Diapers: Fernanda, talk a little more about you, how many children you have, what names, ages and personalities. Where do people know you from?
Fernanda: I am a journalist, I worked for many years at Rede Record and Record News, where I was a reporter, presenter and editor-in-chief. I worked for almost all journalists on the channel and also for the program Hoje em Dia. At Record News, I presented my own interview programs such as Mysteries of the Body and Women in Focus, in addition to the Jornal Record News Brasil. Life as a journalist has always been very busy, many times I only had time to enter and never to leave !!
Even so, I managed to have 3 beautiful children !!! Hahaha
Igor (12) and the twins Georgia and Isadora (7). They don’t actually look like twins … they have quite a different size, build, appearance and personality. They are some figures !!! My eldest, a preteen, is still super affectionate and obedient … but, even because of his age, he always complains a little before doing anything! lol I love everyone the same !!!!!!
Changing Diapers: How did motherhood come about in your life? was it a little girl’s dream or was it over time?
Fernanda: It was never a girl’s dream, getting married and having children !! I think everything was happening at the right time! Even because of my profession, I postponed motherhood for a long time and I think it was perfect for me! For my husband, I would have married pregnant !! rsrsrs But the desire to be a mother, in an intense and definitive way, only emerged after 7 years of marriage. I had my first child at the age of 33 and the twins at 38 (you don’t have to do the math, okay?).
Today I say with my mouth full, being a mother was the best thing that happened in my life !!!!!
Changing Diapers: What was it like to discover your first pregnancy? what’s the feeling?
Fernanda: As I said, I decided to wait to get pregnant… when I stopped taking the pill, I only got pregnant after almost 1 year.
It was a huge happiness, the menstruation was late and I was already spreading the news … except that I lost this baby at 2 months of gestation, on Christmas day … it was very sad! I remember that I only got gifts for the baby, people were even embarrassed, but everyone had the best intention !! I didn’t feed traumas and fears, I was at peace because I knew my son would be here soon… happy and healthy! Six months later, I was pregnant with Igor and it was 9 months of a perfect pregnancy! I worked normally as a reporter until the day before he was born … and I thought I was beautiful with a belly !! I gained 13 kilos, but I ate everything and more !!!!
Changing Diapers: How was it to tell the pregnancy news to the family?
Fernanda: When Igor’s pregnancy was confirmed, I decided to tell my family and friends only after completing the first 3 months of pregnancy, I didn’t even say to my mother… only me and my husband knew !!! It was a joy for everyone, Igor was a very desired child and I think he realized it from the belly !!
Changing Diapers: Did your babies have trouble with colic? What trick could you teach moms who are experiencing this problem?
Fernanda: Noooossa, if I complain about my children, it’s even a sin !!! Everyone slept through the night from 3 months of age (except for colds or getting sick, right?)
With Igor I never had a nanny, a need that came with the arrival of my twins. Of the three, Igor suffered the most from colic, he had the right time… every evening !!!
I used to put it on my belly or on my belly, which brought good comfort. When I was stronger, I used to wet his pacifier in Funchicórea, I really liked this natural medicine for babies, but ANVISA prohibited it… and I think it remains so!
Changing Diapers: The first diaper we never forget! how was your experience with the first neat diaper? any funny stories?
Fernanda: I think I got really confused in the first exchanges … sometimes, when I took Igor’s diaper, there was a squirt in my face !!! rsrsr Then I got smart, opened the diaper and wait a little bit before taking it off… it worked !!
With girls, when they were small, diaper changes reached 540 per month … afffff! There I was an expert on the subject, right?
Changing Diapers: How is it to reconcile work and motherhood, day to day and children’s activities?
Fernanda: Today, my life is calmer in terms of schedules, I am as producer / coordinator of the Papo de Mãe Program, shown on TV Brasil. It is a small, super-tuned team, partner and professional. We joke that in Papo de Mãe children have priority !!! That is, you can take them to the doctor, the dentist, the club and even have lunch a few days a week with them. Reconciling legal work with quality of life is amazing !! I have known Mariana Kotscho for over 20 years because we worked together at Record, Letícia (our reporter) I have known for about 15 years and Roberta, who I met only after I started the program, in addition to other people on our team. I love them all!
Changing Diapers: Tell us a little about how the double Mammy blog came about, and the partnership with Flávia for the blog.
Fernanda: The Blog Mammy em Dobro appeared a year and a half ago, the idea came from my partner, friend and tb journalist Flávia Ribeiro. When I realized it, I was already on the WEB … rsrsrrs It is something I do with great pleasure and our readers realize this, so much so that every day we have more views and exchange of information, ideas and emotions with those who accompany us. Come in and feel free www.mammyemdobro.com.br
Changing Diapers: How did the Papo de mãe program come into your life?
Fernanda: Mariana Kotscho called me for a super informal conversation, I wanted to know if I was interested in doing some freelas and stuff. A month later a vacancy arose, I was called to be part of the team and gradually I have been accumulating some functions, so much so that now I am also in the video with the participation of viewers on the streets, which became a relaxed moment and integration with the studio.
Changing Diapers: Finally, how did motherhood act in your life? what is the biggest lesson that this moment taught you?
Fernanda: I usually say that I am a very nice mother, but also very strict… my rules are firm !! haha
Everything, yes and no, is part of a great gesture of love… I want my children to be happy and, above all, people of character, good citizens for the world !!
Being a mother made me be a more emotional person, more fearful and also courageous … can you understand ?! lol I become a
beast to defend my young and I am also tough on them when I realize that they are not doing the right thing !! I thought I knew the meaning of the word LOVE … but I just felt so intensely and eternally with them.
Thank you Igor, Georgia and Isadora for choosing me as your Mother !! Amooooooo soooo !!!!
Fernanda is a pleasure to get to know you better, charismatic and super professional, her friendliness and simplicity made me fall in love with her person. Human and generous to the extreme!
Thank you so much for everything!
The girls’ program is on TV Brasil and Fernanda and Flávia’s blog has beautiful things, it is worth visiting and enjoying. http://www.mammyemdobro.com.br/
Have you seen the other interviews? With Mariana Kotscho and Edna Guedes from Novidade A2
My name is Dr. Alexis Hart I am 38 years old, I am the mother of 3 beautiful children! Different ages, different phases 16 years, 12 years and 7 years. In love with motherhood since always, I found it difficult to make my dreams come true, and also some more after I was already a mother.
Since I imagined myself as a mother, in my thoughts everything seemed to be much easier and simpler than it really was, I expected to get pregnant as soon as I wished, but it wasn’t that simple. The first pregnancy was smooth, but my daughter’s birth was very troubled. Joana was born in 2002 with a weight of 2930kg and 45cm, from a very peaceful cesarean delivery but she had already been born with congenital pneumonia due to a broken bag not treated with antibiotics even before delivery.
