I realized something, the name of the site is Changing Diapers, but I never taught you to change diapers literally here! First-time moms and also those who have never taken care of a baby in their lives, are in doubt and in some cases terrified when it comes to this: changing diapers. But folks, it’s very simple! The problem always and in most cases is the fear of the first time , but in maternity there is always someone to help. I remember that my sister-in-law was frightened in my niece’s first diaper after arriving home, but soon and with time she started to perform this task and very well! Diquinhas for those who are starting and for those who have had this task for some time:
1st Step: If the baby is very small, the ideal is to have everything on hand, usually a changer is used, those that are on top of the baby’s dresser. But if you don’t have one of these, the ideal is to do it in bed, just like our mothers did. Separate the clean diaper, anti-rash ointment or cornstarch (it helps a lot when you don’t want to use ointments and cornstarch sucks up all the moisture) cotton, warm water and depending on your habit, wet wipes.
2nd Step: Open the baby’s clothes and the side diaper tapes. Check for the need for more thorough cleaning if there is more than pee in the diaper. If there is, clean the excess with the diaper, always from top to bottom in order to avoid urinary tract infection in the baby through the contact of the feces and especially if it is a girl.
Step 3: Clean as you like, or baby wipes or cotton warm water and liquid soap to remove waste from fezes.Evite clean with water alone, so the waste do not come out completely and the baby is exposed to chafing . Clean and rinse thoroughly. If the baby is still newborn, it is at this time that the navel should be cleaned with a cotton swab and 70% alcohol. Moisten both sides of the swab and clean with both sides as well.
4th Step: Dry very well and apply cornstarch or ointment. Put the diaper clean and adjust the waist leaving two fingers between the diaper and the baby’s tummy so as not to tighten. A valid tip for this procedure is to arrange the flaps of the baby’s legs. If you have leaking protective tabs, adjust to increase your efficiency.
Diapers I Recommend
I would recommend the diapers I used the most and approve. I use Mônica a lot from the blue packet, as well as Mônica Huggies, but I also really like the Pampers Super Sec from the red packet. In fact Pampers green at Total Confort and it is wonderful. However, the price and quality of the Super Sec are well worth it for me. I also use Pom Pom and Looney Toons. These are more for the day and when the baby is older.
The Pom Pom diaper is the largest diaper when it comes to modeling M equals G for other brands. Another good tip is when having the baby to take to the maternity diapers size Rn of the brand Monica’s class, they are smaller and ideal for the first days. That’s it, the space is open for comments and questions!

My name is Dr. Alexis Hart I am 38 years old, I am the mother of 3 beautiful children! Different ages, different phases 16 years, 12 years and 7 years. In love with motherhood since always, I found it difficult to make my dreams come true, and also some more after I was already a mother.
Since I imagined myself as a mother, in my thoughts everything seemed to be much easier and simpler than it really was, I expected to get pregnant as soon as I wished, but it wasn’t that simple. The first pregnancy was smooth, but my daughter’s birth was very troubled. Joana was born in 2002 with a weight of 2930kg and 45cm, from a very peaceful cesarean delivery but she had already been born with congenital pneumonia due to a broken bag not treated with antibiotics even before delivery.
